Make your Windows tutorials look ready for YouTube.
Capture your screen and explanation, then add the zooms, captions, and finishing touches in Screlio. Keep your recording and editing in one place.
Free Demo · Up to 5 minutes per recording · Email to download · No account or payment needed. Compare Demo and full access.
Get the Windows build
Choose the Windows 64-bit ZIP, enter your email, and extract the download before opening the installer. The free Demo needs no account or payment. A Mac package will not install on Windows.
For a specific Windows version, hardware requirement, or ARM device, ask Screlio about compatibility. Keep your operating system’s security protections enabled.
Make one short how-to
- Open a task in your app or browser and replace private information with sample data.
- Choose your whole screen, one window, or a selected recording area.
- Select your microphone and any system sound you need. Record a short audio test.
- Capture the explanation, then trim pauses and adjust a zoom around the key control.
- Review captions and framing, save the project, and export a sample MP4.
Check what your viewers will see
Play the export at a smaller size. Look for tiny labels, captions covering buttons, or a webcam hiding the next click. Listen for both your voice and any app audio the explanation depends on. If audio is missing, check the selected devices, levels, and Windows microphone permissions.
Try the workflow before a full recording
The Demo allows up to five minutes per recording—enough to test a section of your next tutorial. Plan the full YouTube workflow or follow the setup guide.
