Make a beginner tutorial that gets to the point.
Help a first-time viewer reach one useful result. A focused outline makes the recording easier to deliver and leaves fewer tangents to cut later.

Choose one first win
Pick a result a beginner can recognize: create a project, invite a teammate, or connect an app. Start there. A tour of every menu adds recording time without necessarily helping someone finish the task.
List the files, accounts, or permissions needed before you record. Show these at the start so viewers can follow along.
Use a three-part outline
- Open with the finished result and the setup required.
- Demonstrate the task in order, explaining choices that affect the outcome.
- Show the result again and point to one useful next step.
Turn the outline into short teleprompter prompts if it helps your delivery. Move an unrelated explanation into its own tutorial instead of carrying it through the edit.
Polish for someone seeing the app for the first time
Capture with sample data and check your audio. Trim waiting time, but keep the clicks that connect one screen to the next. Let automatic zooms bring small details closer, then adjust them where the narration needs a longer hold.
Review captions, add a callout for a consequential setting, and keep the cursor visible. Check the finished video in a small player before uploading.
Learn from the questions that follow
Use the comments and any viewing information available on your publishing platform to identify confusing steps. A replay or exit alone does not explain what happened; compare it with the task and the viewer’s question.
Keep the editable project so you can replace an outdated section later. Create a product walkthrough or prepare your next explanation.
