Better tutorials, less editing

# Update one tutorial step without rebuilding the whole edit.

When an app changes, start with the part that is out of date. Reopen your Screlio project and keep the useful footage, framing, and structure you already created.

## 1. Find the section that needs new footage

Watch the tutorial beside the current app. Note moved controls, renamed settings, or a different result. Decide whether the change affects a single step or the whole explanation.

For a small change, find a clean sentence or action boundary around the section. If the task itself is different, a new tutorial may be easier to follow.

## 2. Match the replacement to the original

Open the saved project and check the recording size, interface scale, sample data, and microphone. Record the changed step with a little room at the start and end for the cut.

Review the new take for notifications, emails, or account details that did not appear in the original.

## 3. Check everything near the cut

Replace or rearrange the segment on the timeline. Listen to the sentence before and after it. Adjust captions, zoom positions, callouts, and webcam placement to suit the new footage.

Play the full transition. An overlay that worked before may need a different position or timing now.

## 4. Export and check the complete tutorial

Follow the task using the new MP4, then update any companion screenshots and written instructions. Publish the revised video through your chosen platform and keep the updated project.

Note the app version and review date. New footage may still be needed, but the unchanged parts of the edit can remain useful. [Explore Screlio’s timeline workflow](https://screlio.com/editor-screlio/).
