## 1. Get the build for your computer

Choose Windows 64-bit, Mac Apple silicon, or Mac Intel. On a Mac, check Apple menu → About This Mac: an Apple M-series chip uses the Apple silicon build; an Intel processor uses the Intel build.

Enter your email to get the ZIP. You can choose whether to receive marketing emails in the download form. The free Demo requires no account or payment.

## 2. Extract the ZIP and install

Extract the package, then open the installer inside. If your operating system stops the installation, leave its security protections enabled and [contact Screlio](https://screlio.com/contact/) with your chosen build, operating system, and the exact message. Keep passwords and license secrets out of the request.

## 3. Record one useful task

Open an app with sample data. Choose the screen, window, or region you want to show, then select your microphone and any system audio. Make a short test and listen back before recording the explanation. Check device selection and operating-system permissions if sound is missing.

## 4. Try the polish

Trim the start and any long pauses. Review an automatic zoom around a small control, correct the captions, and add a background or webcam layout. Keep the interface visible and save your project so you can reopen the edit.

## 5. Watch the finished file

Export an MP4 and play it outside Screlio. Check the voice, system sound, caption wording, small controls, and ending. The Demo allows up to five minutes per recording.
